Back on Board

Having had a lovely week at the seaside …………………. we are back on board in the marina. Back now to sorting out ‘stuff’!

It’s hard to believe that Lola had her operation only three weeks ago.  She is now putting her foot down very gingerly but not putting any weight on it.  We have been told that we need to keep her calm for 12 weeks so 9 still to go!  Lola, on the other hand, is beginning to think that things are back to normal so it’s definitely going to be a challenge!!  She too really seemed to enjoy her week away.  It must be a complete mystery to her why she has to be on the lead all the time.  Patience, Lola, patience!!

Biiiggggg sea; very little dog. She's doing well but I know how difficult it must be and heart pulling for you to keep her restrained.
I once had a cat that broke it's hip (falling out of a tree with a very large dove in it's mouth!!!) and the vet told me to keep it still for 3 months. Duh!!

    1. Yes, lovely wild sea! Lola had such a good week - she's probably walking more than she should but what can we do? She USED to be well behaved! That's all gone down the pan as she's getting away with far too much!!!!! We'll all be glad to ditch the lead!! xxoo

  5. You should have said something darling, a friend of mine just sold a little two bedroom fixer-upper, almost on the beach. Mind you, it did fetch £450,000.

    1. Location, location, location! WOWSA! Places like that are here, too. WAY overpriced in my mind, though I don't wish to live along the coast and get washed away by hurricanes, nor take the chance that the "big on" (earthquake) might cut the whole dang state loose to float out to sea.

  6. Right! I'll have 2 of those then!! That's exactly why I won't ever live by the sea!! xxoo (Unless of course you might be wanting a live-in nurse for your dotage!!!!!!!)

  7. Awwwww, poor Lola...my first dog got heartworms, same routine, no running, no fun, always on the lead...for only 6 or 7 weeks.

You must be getting closer to the "end of the season" as I see the last post I commented on was the last since late October.
